Green Exterior Remodeling is an authorized Sunspace dealer serving the greater Charlotte area. Sunspace is one of the most flexible sunroom systems on the market: you can start with a simple screen room and upgrade all the way to an insulated, four-season glass room on the same footprint. Here is how the system works, and how to decide if it is the right fit for your home.
The Sunspace model lineup, screen room to four-season
Sunspace builds four core room models. The nice thing about the system is that the lower models are engineered to be upgraded later, so you can match your budget now without boxing yourself in.
| Model | What it is | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Model 100 Screen Room |
Aluminum-framed screened enclosure with airflow and bug protection. Can integrate aluminum or glass railing. | An affordable, breezy porch you can enjoy in mild weather. Upgradeable to a Model 200 later. |
| Model 200 WeatherMaster Sunroom |
Sunspace’s most popular room. Uses the exclusive WeatherMaster vinyl window system with up to 75% ventilation. | Converting a porch or deck into a room you can open up on nice days and close against wind, rain and pollen. |
| Model 300 3-Season Sunroom |
2-inch extruded aluminum framing with single-glazed glass windows and ventilation from either side. Handles cathedral ceilings and carport enclosures. | Spring, summer and fall use with real glass rather than vinyl glazing. |
| Model 400 All-Season Sunroom |
High-density foam-insulated walls, 3-inch aluminum extrusions with commercial-grade thermal breaks, and Low-E argon glass. | True year-round living space, tied into HVAC, comfortable through Carolina summers and winters. |

WeatherMaster windows: the heart of the Sunspace system
The WeatherMaster window is what most people picture when they think of a Sunspace room. Instead of fixed glass, it uses ViewFlex vinyl glazing in a multi-track frame, so the panels slide and stack to give you up to 75% open ventilation. You can open the top, the bottom, or bunch the panels in the middle to control airflow and shade.
- Available as vertical 4-track, vertical 2-track, and horizontal configurations (the horizontal version suits cathedral ceilings, deck-mounted rooms and carport enclosures).
- Four tint options: clear, smoke grey, dark grey and bronze.
- Vinyl glazing is marketed as more durable than glass and is virtually maintenance free.
The insulated roof system
Sunspace roofs are built from a high-density foam core laminated with aluminum on both sides, or with an exterior surface that accepts standard shingles so the roof matches your house. The panels come in three insulation levels, 3-inch (R-12), 4-inch (R-16) and 6-inch (R-24), and include a built-in water-channeling system with heavy-duty aluminum gutters. In Charlotte’s heat, the insulated roof is what keeps a sunroom from turning into a greenhouse in July.
Warranty and authorized-dealer installation
Sunspace is sold and installed only through authorized dealers, and the products carry a manufacturer-backed limited lifetime warranty on the core components, with additional coverage on the insulated glass and vinyl-glazed windows. Because Green Exterior Remodeling is a factory-authorized Sunspace dealer, your room is installed to manufacturer spec and backed by that warranty, not just a handshake. We will give you the current written warranty terms in your quote so nothing is left to interpretation.
Is Sunspace the right choice for you?
Sunspace tends to be the best fit when you want:
- Flexibility and airflow, the WeatherMaster windows open more than almost anything else on the market.
- An affordable entry point with room to upgrade, start as a screen room, add windows later.
- A porch or deck conversion rather than a full custom addition.
